As March's International Women's Month draws to a close, it's important to shine a spotlight on the incredible achievements of women like Tynee Goshow. With her exceptional talent, extensive experience, and unwavering dedication to empowering others, Tynee is a true force to be reckoned with in the world of hip hop and commercial dance.
With over 15 years of experience, Tynee has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, from Lil Nas X to Chris Brown to Lil Jon. Her incredible talent has earned her appearances on shows like So You Think You Can Dance and New York Fashion Week, as well as collaborations with renowned dance companies like Joffrey Ballet and Alvin Ailey.
Tynee's impact on the Breakin community extends beyond her impressive dance career. As a fellow Bgirl who understands the challenges that women face in this male-dominated scene, Tynee has made it her mission to create a safe space for young dancers to explore their passion and express themselves. Her mentorship program in New York City and her clothing line, Goshow Yourself, both encourage individuality and self-expression. But Tynee's commitment to empowering others goes beyond these initiatives. She has also been a staunch advocate for survivors of sexual assault in the Breakin scene, and her support played a crucial role in empowering me (N'tegrity) to open up about this issue on my blog on March 29th, 2021. With Tynee's encouragement and empathy, I was able to use my voice and shed light on the impact of sexual violence on the Breakin community, and her advocacy has been instrumental in creating a safer environment for all athletes, regardless of gender. Tynee's dedication to uplifting others and her resilience in the face of adversity make her a true leader in the industry and an inspiration to dancers everywhere.

The last time I saw Tynee was at Excel In Motion many years ago, where she was spreading her infectious energy and passion for dance alongside the late, great "Twitch." Though Twitch is no longer with us, his spirit and supportive energy continue to inspire dancers across the globe. I believe that same light rubbed off on Tynee, and it shines through in everything she does.
I had the pleasure of taking Tynee's class at Forward Space, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment she entered the studio, her energy and enthusiasm for dance were electric, and her students responded in kind. Dancing with Tynee was a powerful reminder that anything is possible when you pursue your passion with unwavering dedication and determination.
So let's all take a moment to celebrate Tynee Goshow - a dynamic, resilient, and inspiring woman who has made a significant impact on the hip hop dance world. Follow her brand @Goshowyourself, and her social media accounts @Bgirltynee and @Forward__space to stay updated on her latest work and to show your support. Tynee, you're a true role model, and we're incredibly lucky to have you in our community.
